Shipping & Logistics FAQ
Shipping & LogisticsHow are jumbo glass panels packed and shipped?
A: Panels are packed in custom wooden crates or A-frame racks, edge-protected and labelled, then loaded by experienced glass handlers. Each crate is designed for the panel size and weight, with desiccant where appropriate and clear orientation/marking. Transport route, crane access and site unloading are reviewed before dispatch. We plan logistics together with the client and installation contractor to avoid oversize/weight surprises.

What Incoterms do you offer?
A: Common terms are FOB, CIF, CFR and DAP, negotiated per project. We will confirm the Incoterm, port of loading, destination and insurance responsibility in the sales contract so both parties understand where risk and cost transfer.

How should I inspect the glass upon arrival?
A: Inspect quantity, dimensions, coating face, edge condition and visible defects against the packing list and shop drawings as soon as possible after unloading.Check each crate for transit damage before signing, record any issues with photos, and notify us within the contractual claim window. We recommend a spare-panel allowance for large projects to cover site damage without delaying installation.

Who is responsible for transit damage?
A: Responsibility follows the agreed Incoterm. Under FOB/CIF, risk typically transfers to the buyer once the goods are loaded (or on board, depending on the term); under DAP/DDP the seller retains responsibility until delivery. Insurance coverage and the claim process are detailed in the contract.
We pack to high standards and document loading, but we always recommend cargo insurance for overseas shipments.
